Eric Michels

Eric Michels is an American actor, born in Portland, Maine who trained at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts/Circle in the Square Theater School. He began his career in show business at an early age when he performed magic shows for friends and family in an improvised theater in his parents' basement. He was featured, at the age of 10, in the local newspaper and on TV as "Maine's youngest and finest professional magician". He later joined local theater groups and performed in various roles, mostly in musical theater, including "Irene", "West Side Story", "Oliver" and "South Pacific". His first professional acting engagement was in "Getting Out", an original play by Marsha Norman, at The Portland (Maine) Stage Company in 1982. In 1984 he relocated to New York for professional training and began his career in acting.
