Beau Han Bridge is a Chinese Candian actor, filmmaker, and playwright. As an actor, he starred as the lead character Zane in Shaftesbury’s Macy Murdoch (CBC), the time-travelling tween detective series spin off of Canadian show Murdoch Mysteries, and has appeared in Death Note (Netflix), The Romeo Section (CBC), and others. As a playwright, he has produced seven stage plays under his theatre and film company Midtwenties, which include three original plays (Above The Hospital, Molly Misbegotten, Persephone’s Cave), as well as three acclaimed adaptations of Kenneth Lonergan’s This is Our Youth, Fassbinder’s The Bitter Tears of Petra Von Kant, and Yukio Mishima’s Two Modern Noh Plays: Sotoba Komachi & Hanjo. He is drawn to experimental thrillers, intimate relationship dramas, and documentary style films about adolescence and identity.
