After moving to the city of New Orleans, Katie finds it difficult to fit in to the local lesbian community, as well as the job market. Feeling at odds with her identity, she expresses her desire to leave one night at a bar with some of her friends. While there, she meets Talon, a person who identifies as genderqueer, and is instantly attracted to them.
