World War I. Russian soldiers in France learn that there is a revolution in their homeland and demand to return. The French government sends them to a concentration camp. The soldiers, led by Chernov, continue to fight for their return to their homeland. Chernov escapes from the camp. Here he meets a certain Ribault, who is deceiving the Russian soldiers into leaving for Morocco, to join the Foreign Legion.
